COACHING STAFF

 

 

Evelyn Pineda
Head Coach - 13 Local

Evelyn was born in Los Angeles, CA and moved to Texas in 1999.  She graduated from Holmes High School in 2006 and was awarded best Defensive Specialist for the 2005-2006 season.  Evelyn played her first two years at Laredo Community College then transferred to the University of Texas in San Antonio in 2008.  She was the Libero in 2010 when UTSA won the Southland Conference Volleyball Championship.

She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelors degree of Science in Mathematics and is currently working on her Master’s degree in Education.  She is a Graduate Research Assistant for UTSA Education, she coaches/referees YMCA volleyball, and helps coach the UTSA volleyball summer camps.

 

 

Wrenee Danaher
Head Coach - 14 Regional

Wrenee was born and raised in San Antonio. She attended Holmes High School where she played volleyball and ran track, then attended UTSA where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Wrenee is currently the Girls Athletic Coordinator at Judson Middle School in the Judson School District where she coaches volleyball, basketball, and track.
She’s been coaching middle school volleyball for 11 years and began coaching club in 2005. During her five years of coaching at the club level, her teams have qualified for the National Junior Olympic tournament twice.

“Volleyball is my passion. I enjoy coaching and teaching players at all levels, the skills they need to play the game at the highest level. My hope is that every player will learn to love the game, work hard, and play volleyball in high school and beyond”.

Assistant Coach

 

 

Jeff Erday
Head Coach

Jeff has been coaching sports for 13 years and is currently the Girl’s Athletic Coordinator at Hector Garcia Middle School. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management and Business Administration, and a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education.
Jeff enjoys coaching sports in general because it gives him another opportunity to work with kids on a different level.

He’s a south Florida native and enjoys spending as much time as possible on the beach.

Samantha Pittman
Head Coach

Samantha graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in San Antonio. She went on to play volleyball at the University of Texas in San Antonio on a full scholarship as a Middle and Outside Hitter. She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelors degree in Communication-Public Relations.
She is currently the Head Middle School volleyball coach at Texas Military Institute (TMI) and also coaches’ basketball and track.

She began coaching club volleyball in 2008 because she’s passionate about the sport and takes great pride in the opportunity she is given to impact a life not only as an athlete, but as an individual as well. “Taking for granted all the hard work my coaches put into making me a better player just makes me appreciate coaching even more”.

 

 

Tara Gaffney
Head Coach - 16 National (Navy)

Tara graduated from TX State University in 2009 with a B.A. in Exercise and Sports Science and a minor in History.  Tara has been teaching and coaching at the high school level for three years and is the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Brackenridge High School.

Tara has been coaching club volleyball at the Regional and National level for five years.  She’s coached various age groups in Arizona and Texas.  She is passionate about coaching the game of volleyball and enjoys helping players exceed their expectations.  She expects her players to be passionate about the game, be positive, and work hard.

Nancy Faison
Head Coach - 17 National (Navy)

Nancy attended the University of the Incarnate Word where she played volleyball and basketball all four years and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. She is currently teaching Art at Edison High School and has coached volleyball, basketball, track, and cross country at both Edison and Burbank High School.

Nancy has 24 years of coaching experience and has been coaching club since 2004. She has coached national ranked teams since 2005 for ages 12-16 and has received two National Junior Olympic bids during that time.

“With all my years of experience in coaching sports, I realized that volleyball is my true passion. I try to instill hard work, dedication, and unity in every lesson and practice. I love watching an athlete’s progress and all their improvements from beginning to end. Having fun is a key factor and winning comes along with that”.

Jasmine Faison
Assistant Coach - 17 National (Navy)

Jasmine played collegiate volleyball two years and still competes in the adult club circuit. She has been coaching club volleyball five years and enjoys teaching technique, strategy, and helping athlete’s excel in the sport of volleyball.
She is currently attending TAMU-SA and finishing her BA in Kinesiology for Exercise Science.

Jasmine is truly passionate about volleyball and enjoys sharing her knowledge as well as personal experiences through coaching.
